Overmolding Prototypes

Rapid overmolding prototype production process can be roughly divided into the following steps:

Prototype Fabrication: Firstly, based on the product's design appearance or structural drawings, a prototype of the hand model is created through 3D printing, CNC processing. This prototype serves as the foundation for subsequent rubber coating.

Surface Treatment: Necessary surface treatments, such as polishing and cleaning, are performed on the prototype to ensure good adhesion between the rubber coating and the prototype.

Rubber Coating Process: Soft rubber materials (like TPE, silicone, etc.) are uniformly coated on the surface or interior of the prototype through injection. During this process, parameters like the fluidity of the soft rubber and curing time need to be controlled to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the rubber coating.

Post-Processing: After the rubber coating is complete, necessary post-processing steps are carried out on the hand model, such as trimming, polishing, and painting, to achieve the final design effect.
